Nikon launches D7100 DSLR



Nikon India has unveiled its D7100 digital SLR camera in India. The D7100 is a compact, lightweight camera (weighing 675 grams) that comes with new 24.1-megapixel CMOS sensor, Nikon's 51-point AF system.
Apart from the 51-point AF system, Nikon's D7100 comes with cross-type sensor have been adopted for the 15 most frequently used focus points at the centre of the frame. Additionally, the camera comes with cross-type centre focus point that is functional and compatible with lenses with a maximum aperture of f/8 and as per the company enables faster more, precise autofocusing.
Nikon D7100 comes with EXPEED 3 image-processing engine without a low-pass filter.
For the convenience of users, the Nikon D7100 has also added a few new functions such as Spot White Balance and the 'i' button. Spot white button is a preset manual option that allows users to choose a specific subject from which white balance is measured while shooting in live view, while the 'i' button, which enables simple access to frequently used functions.
The camera is equipped with 3.2-inch TFT LCD monitor. Nikon D7100 is also compatible with the WR-1, a functional transceiver that enables verification and adjustment of settings remotely. The WR-1 can support a number of remote shooting including simultaneous release, synchronised release and interval timer shooting.
The Nikon D7100 comes with support for WR-1 wireless remote.





The camera will be available in India by March end. Just the body of Nikon D7100 will be available for Rs. 79,450. However, purchasing it with AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Kit Lens will set you down by Rs. 94,950. And Nikon D7100 with AF-S DX NIKROR 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Kit Lens will retail for Rs. 1,12,950.
